Privacy Policy
Secure Email Share exists to do one thing: let you share a single email through a private, expiring link. It is built on a simple principle — we do not keep your data.
What we store, and for how long
- When you create a share link, the selected email (subject, sender, recipients, date, and body) is sent to our server, sanitized, encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and stored only until the link expires.
- The email is permanently deleted as soon as the link expires, its view limit is reached, or you revoke the link — whichever comes first.
- Passwords you set on a link are stored only as salted PBKDF2 hashes. We cannot recover them.
What we never do
- We never read, analyze, index, sell, or share your email content.
- We never use tracking, advertising, or analytics of any kind — not in the extension, not on this site.
- We never collect your contacts, browsing history, or anything from Gmail beyond the single email you explicitly choose to share.
- The extension has no access to your Google account and requires no login.
Data you control
Every link you create can be revoked instantly from the extension, which permanently deletes the stored email. Expired and revoked emails are unrecoverable.
Extension permissions
The extension runs only on mail.google.com, reads only the email you are viewing when
you click "Secure Share", and talks only to this server. It requests the minimum Chrome permissions
needed to do that (active tab access and clipboard write for copying your link).
